School Meals
There is a three week menu that rotates each week and is updated as the year progresses.
If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or 2 then school meals are FREE.
If you qualify for the pupil premium then school meals are also FREE.
You can check if your child is eligible for FREE school meals by entering an application on the OFSM. We will be notified if you are eligibile and update your child’s record, and you will also recieve a notificiation from OFSM.
Please contact the School Office if you would like more information.
For school meals that are NOT free, meals cost £2.50 per day and payments are made through an app called School Gateway. Balances will be loaded each Friday.
Alternatively, children may bring packed lunches. These should never contain hot food, and should consist of cold, healthy and nutritional foods. We may contact you if we have concerns about the contents of a child’s lunchbox. Drinks should be in plastic or insulated water bottles, with no fizzy drinks, and no glass container or cans.
If your child requires a special diet linked to a medical condition, please complete the form below and return to school. This will help the Aspens catering team to support your child.
Aspens are the catering company who provide our nutritious and very popular school meals.
Milk & Snacks
Children in the Early Years and Key Stage 1 may have milk at playtime. Milk for under 5s is free, but there is a small charge for children who are aged 5 and over.
To order milk for over 5s, please follow the link to the School Milk UK website.
At morning break, children in the Early Years and Key Stage 1 will receive a piece of free fruit or vegetable.
Pupils in Key Stage 2 but may choose to bring a snack in from home. As we are a healthy school, we suggest snacks should be fruit, vegetables or a cereal bar.
All children have access to fresh drinking water throughout the school day, and are encouraged to drink water regularly.
