All members of the Robert Shaw community are entitled to work and play in a safe, secure environment, where they are happy and motivated to learn. Towards this aim we believe:
Every body at Robert Shaw Primary School has the right to enjoy school life – feeling happy and free of fear of any form of intimidation.
Wherever possible, reported instances of bullying will be investigated promptly, and dealt with seriously.
The school community will not tolerate unkind actions or remarks, even if not intended to hurt or offend.
Individuals should support each other by reporting instances of bullying.
The guidelines for behaviour at Robert Shaw are based on the principles of positivity and “Every child matters”, we believe that children learn best when they are calm, safe and focussed, and good behaviour is a critical element towards creating these conditions.
